- Basically, Karl is a calm person and peaceful and docile in a normal condition. The only hostile part of him is his tongue which relentlessly finds other people's flaw.
- For some reason his facial expression stays like that whatever happened. no mater he is happy or sad or angry.
- Karl is rather strict. not as easy going as his brother.
- He will always praise any kind of honesty and curse any kind of lies and deceit.


History:
- Karl is a war veteran. Which war he participated and what his rank was is always been kept a secret by Karl for he prefer people not to know what his former rank is.
- Karl lived on his own house before he got into this boarding house. He claims that he need to blow his house because of some "enemies"


Trivia:
- He always wear his military overcoat everyday and everytime. that coat was his uniform when he was participating at war.
- He always wear his red scarf too. that scarf is given to him by his aunt.
- Even though he dislikes his armband so much, he always wear it to remind him of who he was.
- He's, like his brother, a heavy drinker also
- He use an old box camera to do his job. he prefers that over digital cams for vintage taste.
- He has an amazing feat of breaking modern electronical gadgets.
- His stagnant facial expression is because of an old incident that makes him unable to show his feelings anymore.
- Yes, he is the older brother of Marc Stein of room 203.
